Michael Robert, a Christian recording artist from Oregon in the USA, begins a tour of England with his band this week.

A prolific musician who has released four CDs in the last two years, Robert is best known for his rendition of the hymn At The Cross, as well as the hit Made For Another World and many other well-known worship songs.

Robert supports his rich, powerful voice with his trusty Vintage V1200 electro-acoustic guitar, as distributed by John Hornby Skewes & Co. Ltd. "My Vintage V1200 is a great guitar, the action is smooth and I like the clean tone I get out of the Fishman pickup!  You won't find a better guitar for the money!"

Appearing with Robert are his band members, bassist Shane McCoy and Michael Farley on lead guitar, both of whom are using Vintage acoustics on this tour as well as Vintage and Fret-King electrics.

"Can't say enough about the Vintage acoustic bass!" says Shane. "I fell in love with it the first time I picked it up!  Great action, and the notes stay true. For electric I like to use the natural finish Vintage EST96... my newest favourite bass! We have a saying in Kansas City that describes it well... 'Cool Beans!'"

The first date of Robert's tour will be a performance at the prestigious UKCMA Awards Ceremony (UK Christian Music Alliance) on February 19th, where he is receiving the Mike Award for worship song of the year. Robert is also a featured artist at the Christian Resources Exhibition in Peterborough.
