Feb. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Since 1987, Handwriting Formation Therapy has been changing the lives of many kids, teens, and adults around the world while retaining a 100% success rate.

You may have read about Handwriting Formation Therapy in 2006 when it was launched by the Texas Juvenile Probation Commission to lower crime recidivism rates. Not surprising - Handwriting Formation Therapy lowered it. What was a surprise, however, is the fact that since 2006, none of the kids have re-offended. Handwriting Formation Therapy has proven, for many years now, that it is 100% successful in completely stopping crime recidivism rates. However Handwriting Formation Therapy has proven equally effective for many other issues that are not crime related.

In 1987, Treyce d'Gabriel-Montoya created the Handwriting Formation Therapy program. She best explains it as a "cognitive, behavioral modification, yet holistic therapy that is 100% opposite of it's traditional counterparts". She explained that graphological (handwritten) changes are put in place that are tailored for each individual's personality. Treyce is no stranger to traditional psychology either. She has several college degrees in Forensic Psychology with over 15 years working in the mental health field. However she has never lost sight of her goal with Handwriting Formation Therapy - that is, "to  effect change worldwide" and that's why she started the 'Rewrite My Life' reality show.

"Rewrite My Life" is a new kind of reality show that you won't see on your television... at least not yet.  Instead you will be able to view the show on your computer via YouTube. To keep within budget as much as possible, she will be starting the show in Texas, but hopes to eventually take it nationwide and then worldwide. She has been asked if she would consider going to other states. Treyce says, "Absolutely but someone needs to take care of the expenses".

While trying to explain the shows process, we asked Treyce who best explains it as follows:

"There are so many kids, teens, and adults who would like help but for many reasons cannot obtain it. Whether traditional therapy has failed them, or they refuse to be over-medicated, whether they are worried about toxicity from so many psychological medications, or live in a remote area with no mental health services, whether they cannot afford expensive insurance, medications, have no income, or are without friends or family to help them through tough times... this show can provide them with the opportunity to 'rewrite their life'. Many people have lost all hope and are wondering if it's worth living and  this show can provide that glimmer of hope - that second chance".

Each month new participants will be chosen. She will meet with them at their location on the first month, the third month, and the final (six) month. During the full six months she will be working with them behind the scenes. The purpose of the 3 home visits (which form the episodes) is so the viewers can track the progress of their favorite participant while becoming inspired and empowered themselves.

Make no mistake, Treyce does realize the need for confidentiality and will adhere to everything possible to protect their identity. The show participants are allowed to change their names and to disguise themselves realistically as long as it does not look like a costume. "If it looks made-up, it will devalue my program and then all of my work will be for naught", states Treyce.

She states, "People go on Dr. Phil and other shows to air their problems and do not have the option of disguise". She explains that participants do not have to give all the details of their life on the show but instead briefly share why they are undergoing Handwriting Formation Therapy and then how they are progressing.

Who can be on the show? Parents, agencies, schools or any private citizen can suggest someone. However it is a requirement that the individual be willing without any type of force or coercion for it to be successful for them.

Producers have approached her in the past showing interest in this show idea, however she feels they do not really understand the process. This show will introduce it to society the way it is intended. As soon as a couple episodes are aired, she will be informing the previous producers that she communicated with including GotFilms, Tino Struckmann, Kitty Stuart, and 20th Century Fox.

Whether the show participant is a child, teen, or adult - whether trying to break an addiction, calm behaviors, change unhealthy habits or thoughts, trying to leave or recover from abusive experiences, suffering from a mental illness, trying to leave a life of crime or anything else... Handwriting Formation Therapy is the answer !

The cost? Nothing. However because this is run and produced by her non-profit, she does appreciate any in-kind donations to help with expenses.

"Rewrite My Life" show is produced by the Written Escape Clinics - a non-profit started by Treyce for the sole purpose of offering Handwriting Formation Therapy to it's clients. Since 1987, clients have been able to undergo Handwriting Formation Therapy 100% electronically or by mail. However many people prefer face-to-face interactions and this is what gave birth to the many Written Escape Clinics opening worldwide.
