Lead Certification for EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule to be Offered in Madison, WI

Feb. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Lead certification in accordance with the EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rule will be offered March 10 in Madison, Wis. This class will be instructed by Samantha Dickman, president of Testudo LLC, Wisconsin's leading Lead Safe Renovator training provider. Property managers, landlords, and remodeling contractors of all types—including plumbers, electricians, painters, window installers, and even wood floor refinishers—are required to carry this certification if disturbing leaded coatings (including lead paint, stain, shellac, varnish, etc.) in any child-occupied building (homes, daycares, etc.) built before 1978.

This lead training will take place at the ABC Apprenticeship and Training Center, 5330 Wall Street, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All students who hold the Dwelling Contractor Qualifier license can receive eight hours of continuing education credits for attending the course. The cost of the course is $240.
