Finite Carbon Appoints The Nature Conservancy Veteran, Dylan Jenkins, as VP of Portfolio Development

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 15, 2011 - WAYNE, PA — Finite Carbon Corporation, the forest carbon development company that provides a single-source solution for creating and monetizing carbon credits, announced today that Dylan Jenkins has joined the company as Vice President of Portfolio Development.

Dylan joins Finite Carbon after eight years at The Nature Conservancy (TNC), where he was Director for the Pennsylvania Forest Conservation Program.  In this role, Dylan developed and implemented Working Woodlands, one of the nation’s first integrated approaches to private forest protection, certified management, and carbon inventory/credits. He also helped raise over $3 million in private and public funding for forest conservation initiatives.

Dylan’s expertise includes development of a nationally-recognized education program for Virginia's private forest landowners.  This innovative program was comprised of five sustainable forest management courses, including the nation’s first web-based forest landowner course.

Dylan is a Certified Forester and Co-Chair for the Society of American Foresters Certification Review Board, as well as Chair of the Pennsylvania Forest Stewardship Committee.  He has been published extensively, including articles in Science, the Journal of Forestry and the Journal of Forest Economics, and has delivered numerous presentations on carbon markets and forest conservation.  Dylan graduated magna cum laude from Clemson with a B.S. in Forest Resource Management, and from Virginia Tech Department of Forestry with a M.S. in Forest Management and Economics.
