Ecomoana Selects Precision Paddleboards as US Partner for global launch of Eco-friendly Stand Up

Feb. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Fort Lauderdale, FL, February 15th, 2011 – Ecomoana, a leading player in the pioneering field of eco-friendly surfboards and stand up paddleboards (SUPs), has selected Fort Lauderdale-based Precision Paddleboards as the US location for its global product launch. Attendees of the Miami International Boat Show will be able to view and order the Ecomoana boards at booth 4178 in the Pavilion tents.

Ecomoana’s ‘Yellow is Green’ boards are shaped with a new generation of high performance, 100% renewable reinforcement fabric made by Porcher Industries. The Porcher Greenlite fiber is an innovative material based on pure cellulose fibers. The combination of low density and superior mechanical properties allows the bio composites to produce an excellent weight to performance ratio. Porcher Greenlite reinforcements are biodegradable and highly compatible with bio-based resins. To further optimize the eco-friendly benefits of its boards, Ecomoana has co-developed a full range of 100% solid (solvent free) bio-based epoxy resin systems, (EKKO IN technology) designed to meet surfboard manufacturing requirements. The resins are made of a clear bio epoxy system (pure transparency and high strength) or organic epoxy system (yellow is green™ effect).
