TV Choice w/c 19 February Steve Jones wants The X Factor!

Steve Jones may be presenting BBC1’s Let’s Dance For Comic Relief with former girlfriend Alex Jones, but he tells TV Choice he’s got an eye on another job.

Feb. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Steve, who found fame on T4, is hotly tipped for the presenter’s role on the American version of The X Factor.

‘It’s a much-coveted role, but I’m very eager to land that position,’ Steve confides to TV Choice.

‘But there’s only one person who knows what’s going, and that’s Mr Simon Cowell. I’m sure he’ll make the right decision!’

Also in this week’s TV Choice, Rupert Penry-Jones and Maxine Peake talk about their new BBC1 legal drama Silk, while Anna Maxwell Martin plays a headstrong teacher in South Riding.

Gwyneth Paltrow tells us about her Glee appearance, and Anne Robinson explains why she’s talking to stars about books. There’s also more on Friday Night Dinner, a comedy starring Episodes’ Tamsin Greig and The Inbetweeners’ Simon Bird, while Brendan O’Carroll plays a foul-mouthed Dublin housewife in Mrs Brown’s Boys.

Heston Blumenthal reveals more about his latest culinary crusade in Heston’s Mission Impossible, and Raymond Blanc has more Raymond Blanc’s Kitchen Secrets. We also look at reality show The Model Agency and former EastEnders star Ross Kemp witnesses suffering abroad in Ross Kemp: Extreme World.

In the soaps, Janine and Whitney hit rock bottom in EastEnders, while Steve wins big in Coronation Street. Nicola reports Jimmy missing in Emmerdale, and Warren begins uncovering Brendan’s dark past in Hollyoaks. In Doctors, Lucy’s love triangle with her toy boy gets complicated. Donna leaves for New York in Neighbours, and Xavier and April collapse after breathing chemical fumes in Home And Away.

There is also a fantastic 3D home entertainment system, consisting of an LG 50in plasma 3D TV and 3D glasses, plus Sony 3D Blu-ray player, to be won in this week’s TV Choice competition.
