3rd Cold Case Review Conference - 30 March 2011, Eynsham Hall, UK

Feb. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- • ‘Operation Magnum’ – the re-investigation of the murders of three women in South Wales will feature at The Investigator’s Third Cold Case Reviews Conference.

Martyn Lloyd Evans and Paul Bethell who head up the South Wales Police Cold Case Reviews Unit will talk about this innovative case which saw them exhume the body of murder suspect Joe Kappen in a bid to provide justice for the three women.

Martyn – who is a respected national expert in Cold Case Review investigations will also give a separate presentation entitled ‘Cold Case Reviews for Beginners – how to carry out Cold Case Reviews from cradle to grave.’

They will be joined by DCI David Withers from the Kent and Essex Police Serious Crime Directorate who will give a presentation which looks at the victim and witness perspective entitled ‘Why bother? The effect of Cold Case investigations on victims of crime and their families.’

• Cathy Turner the National Cold Case Lead for the Forensic Science Service will provide a fascinating insight into Cold Case Reviews involving serial sex offences
