Sonny Hires Named to Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association Board of Directors

Feb. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Sonny Hires, co-owner of Construction Resources Inc., was recently named to the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA) Board of Directors for 2011. The GAHBA is committed to improving all aspects of the Atlanta homebuilding industry. Working with other board members, Hires hopes to further the association’s goals of supporting free enterprise and creating desirable, sustainable communities.

“This nomination is a great honor for me,” said Hires. “I look forward to working with so many influential people and strengthening the great housing industry we have in Atlanta.”

Hires has been involved in the kitchen and bath industry for 16 years. Sonny, along with his brother Mitch, started several companies dedicated to providing products for homeowners, remodelers and builders. The two created Construction Resources as an umbrella corporation for their companies such as Atlanta Kitchen to operate underneath.

For the past several years Hires and Construction Resources have worked closely with HomeAid Atlanta, the official charity of the GAHBA. In 2009, Atlanta Kitchen was named the HomeAid Trade Partner of the Year. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing transitional housing for temporarily homeless families in the Atlanta area.
