Arkadium Further Expands Mahjongg Dimensions Franchise With Mobile App for the iPhone and iPod Touch

Feb. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Arkadium (http://www.arkadium.com), a leading game developer, today announced that the company is partnering with Backflip Studios, the producer of hit iPhone games such as Ragdoll Blaster and Paper Toss, to release the latest in Arkadium’s popular Mahjongg Dimensions franchise – a new Mahjongg Dimensions App for the iPhone and iPod touch.  

The success of Arkadium’s Mahjongg Dimensions on game portals across the Web and on popular brand websites has led to the creation of a social game on Facebook, a downloadable game and now an app for the iPhone and iPod touch. Mahjongg Dimensions initially launched as a Web game in 2009. In January 2010 it was introduced as a social game on Facebook and quickly grew to reach more than one million players in less than three months. Today marks its first foray on Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch devices.

Each version of Mahjongg Dimensions is tailored to the platform it’s on. The social version of the game on Facebook has more than one million monthly active users and is a fast paced one-minute game. The original online game has approximately six minutes of game play and has several different variations including a Dark Dimensions version where players can increase the amount of time available to complete a puzzle. The downloadable version of Mahjongg Dimensions, dubbed Mahjongg Dimensions Deluxe, is a full version with more than 60 levels and hours of game play.

The new Mahjongg Dimensions app, which includes a tutorial and one level pack, for the iPhone and iPod touch is available for free download.
