Free Spay/Neuter Services for Cat Adoptions at Kent County Animal Shelter Feb. 14-19

Feb. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Vicky’s Pet Connection, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based, non-profit animal rescue group, is paying the spay/neuter fee for all cats adopted from the Kent County Animal Shelter in Grand Rapids, Monday, February 14 through Saturday, February 19.  

The normal fee for adopting cats through the Kent County Animal Shelter is $50 plus a $50 fee for neutering male cats or $70 for spaying female cats. The contribution by Vicky’s Pet Connection lowers the total cost of adopting a cat from the Kent County Animal Shelter to just $50 for the week of February 14-19.

The adoption fee covers a feline leukemia/FIV test, RCPC (feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia, and chlamydia psittaci) vaccination and microchip ID implant.

The Kent County Animal Shelter is located at 740 Fuller Ave., NE.  Adoption hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Vicky's Pet Connection (VPC) is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing, caring for and placing homeless and abandoned animals.

We specialize in special case animals that would have otherwise been lost to the over burdened, under-funded shelter system. This includes pregnant cats and dogs, orphaned litters and animals in need of aggressive veterinary treatment.
