Getting back to the Camaro gauge pod, in a video shared on YouTube Nathan discusses the texture coating and why he recommends to texture and paint the passenger side pillar trim along with the gauge pillar. Turns out, that factory resemblence comes from a 3M product called Rubberized Undercoating. Its pretty surprising that a rust protection spray could be used to generate a look that closely matches an interior appearance, but Nathan has done his share of testing and that proved to provide the best results.
