Feb. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island - Leading Women founder Susan Colantuono was featured this month at an international presentation hosted by WILL Forum India, a forum for women in leadership bringing together senior women executives from across corporate India and KPMG, one of the leading providers of risk, financial and business advisory, internal audit, corporate governance, and tax and regulatory services in India.

Invited by Poonam Barua, founder chairman of WILL Forum, Colantuono presented “The Missing 33%: Ever Wonder Why Decades of Advice Haven’t Advanced More Women?” to an elite group of women leaders from a varied mix of organizations.

"We are looking forward to working together to collectively inspire a more productive eco-system for advancing women into decision making positions." says Poonam Barua, founder chairman of WILL Forum.

The trip was initiated when Colantuono won the British Airways “Face of Opportunity Business Pitch” by answering the question, "If you could travel to any city outside the United States to grow your business, where would you go and how would the trip help meet your business objectives?" Colantuono highlighted launch of a Leading Women affiliate in India and the desire to travel and meet the affiliate presidents in their home country.

"While research by the WILL Forum indicates that the perceptions of women in India as leaders is somewhat different from those in the United States, we found common ground for working together to overcome barriers to advancement," said Susan Colantuono, chief executive officer and founder of Leading Women.

According to Colantuono, a founding vision of Leading Women is becoming the global go-to-resource for women who are serious about their careers and companies that are serious about advancing women. Expansion into other countries, including India, is a key component of the organization’s business plan.
