PRLog - Feb. 12, 2011 - SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. -- Forget your problems and have fun; kick off Mardi Gras with Deacon John and the Ivories Monday, February 28, at BIG ARTS. Laissez les bon temps rouler (let the good times roll) at BIG ARTS Annual Benefit.
Deacon John and the Ivories
For 40 years, Deacon John has been one of New Orleans’ most enduring and adaptive musical showmen. Together with an exceptional cast of truly great musicians, he exemplifies the joie de vivre and sound of The Big Easy. His style of “jump blues” co-mingles big band jazz, with earthy rhythm and blues, and unfettered rock and roll.
All attendees will enjoy Louisiana-style buffet fare, starting at 6 p.m., in BIG ARTS Boler Garden with concert to follow. Participants are looking forward to showing off their Mardi Gras masks at the party.
Tickets start at $125 for general admission; call BIG ARTS Marks Box Office at (239) 395-0900 for other ticket offers.
