The New 2011 Jeep Compass is in stock at Bonham Chrysler Jeep Dodge

Feb. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- The new Jeep Compass offers more upgraded interior features with high quality materials than it did last year, including an improved cabin and a nicer steering wheel.

New interior of the Jeep Compass for this year include the following features: soft touch front-door trim panels, center armrest, steering wheel with integrated controls that are easily accessible, cloth interior with premium cloth bucket seats in the front, standard speed control on all models, windows and power mirror controls, backlighting of door switches, and door locks.

The base Compass offers interior features such as a center console, a removable and rechargeable reading lamp, a 12-volt auxiliary power outlet, a basic audio system with an auxiliary input jack, a tilt steering wheel with integrated controls, and power door locks and windows.  Optional on all models include Uconnect, Jeep’s technology system that integrates navigation, SIRIUS satellite radio and Bluetooth connectivity.

The 2011 Jeep Compass comes in three trim levels: Compass, Latitude and Limited. All three trims are available with front-wheel drive, the Freedom Drive I full-time, active 4x4 system or the Freedom Drive II Off-Road Package full-time, active 4x4 system with low-range capability.

Compass and Latitude models are equipped with a standard 2.0-liter World Engine that delivers 158-horsepower and 141 lb.-ft of torque. Coupled with the 2.0-liter World Engine is the continuously variable transmission.

Available on all models but standard on the Limited is a powerful 2.4-liter World Engine with 172-horsepower and 165 lb-ft. of torque. The dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT) of the 2.4-liter World Engine is designed to optimize the torque curve at all speed to deliver more power as well as a better fuel economy.  

Although the federal government hasn’t tested the new 2011 Jeep Compass, the 2010 Compass model did earned a top score of five stars in side driver and side rear passenger crash test. The Compass also received the second highest rating of four stars in front driver, front passenger and two- and four-wheel drive crash tests!

Standard safety features of the new 2011 Jeep Compass include Electronic Stability Control, Electronic Roll Mitigation, advanced multi-stage driver and front-passenger airbags, traction control, supplemental side-curtain airbags, and a tire pressure warning lamp. Optional safely features come with a tire pressure monitoring display as well as supplemental seat-mounted driver and front passenger air bags.
