Peruvemba Satish Named Allstate Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer, Investments

The Allstate Corporation  today announced that Peruvemba Satish, 45, has joined the company as managing director and chief risk officer, investments. Satish reports to Judy Greffin, senior vice president and chief investment officer, who oversees the company's $99.8 billion portfolio.

"Satish brings a wealth of expertise with proven results in risk, investments and finance," said Greffin. "He has extensive experience in quantitative analytics and risk management and has served in senior-level positions throughout the finance and investment industry. Satish is an excellent addition to our team and we look forward to leveraging his expertise to deliver outstanding results."

Satish most recently was chief risk officer for Jamison Capital Partners LP, New York. From 2004 to 2009, he was the chief risk officer and a member of the investment committee at DKR Capital Partners LP, an asset management firm specializing in alternative investment strategies. He previously was director of risk management at Soros Fund Management LLC, where he was employed from 2001 to 2004. Earlier in his career, Satish held quantitative research, risk management and investment management positions at State Street Bank and Trust, Barclays Capital and other firms. Satish is an internationally known speaker and published researcher on risk and finance. He is a CFA charterholder and received a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Texas at Austin, a master's in economics from the State University of New York, and undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering and economics from Birla Institute of Science in Pilani, India.
