Kyoto Mercantile Exchange (KMEX) Announces Expansion Plans in China

KMEX’s trading development office to support the exchange’s contracts diversity initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region

Feb. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- KMEX, announced plans to expand to China to support the organization’s contract diversity initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition to metal sales and supply activities, KMEX will provide destination marketing, logistics and trade finance services for soybeans, corn, barley, wheat and feed ingredients, to support its demand for contract diversity.

“As global demand for agricultural products continues to grow, a strong presence in China will become increasingly important in the grain and oilseed markets,” said Jacob McKinney, vice president of KMEX’s international division. “We are looking forward to expand our network in China and further developing relationships with producers in the Asia-Pacific region.”

KMEX’s China office will be managed by Daisuke Kioshy, who will serve as general manager of the company’s development business in China. Daisuke has more than 13 years of experience supporting producer’s needs in the Chinese market.
