Jobs, Business-Ownership, and Education Event for Veterans Coming to Miami on March 24

Sun Life Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, will be the site of an Opportunity Expo for veterans and other job seekers with military backgrounds on March 24. The job seekers will interview with employers, franchisors, and educational institutions.
 
Feb. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Cincinnati, OH – Sun Life Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, will be the site of a free Opportunity Expo for men and women who have military backgrounds on Thursday, March 24. The producer of the event, Cincinnati-based RecruitMilitary, LLC, is inviting personnel who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, veterans who already have civilian work experience, members of the National Guard and reserves, and their spouses. The job seekers will interview with corporate employers, law-enforcement agencies and other government employers, franchisors, and educational institutions. The Expo will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

RecruitMilitary expects more than 30 organizations to attend. Already scheduled are A Buyer’s Choice Home Inspections, the Air Force Reserve, American Intercontinental University, the Army National Guard, Barfield Inc., Chem-Dry, DeVry University, FastTrain, Goodman Manufacturing Company LP, Grand Canyon University, the Healthcare Administration of the Department of Veterans Affairs, ICDC College, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Military Sealift Command, Nalco Energy Services—Downstream, Prudential Insurance Company, 6th Marine Corps District Prior Service Recruiting, Strayer University, The Art Institutes, The Home Depot, Walgreens, and Waste Management Inc.

RecruitMilitary (www.recruitmilitary.com) will produce the Expo in cooperation with The American Legion (www.legion.org), an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has 2.4 million members in nearly 14,000 posts throughout the world. Congress chartered the organization in 1919.

RecruitMilitary has scheduled 50 additional Veteran Opportunity Expos for 2011. The events will take place in Atlanta, Baltimore, Birmingham, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Colorado Springs, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami (on November 30), Minneapolis, Nashville, New York, Norfolk, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Richmond, St. Louis, San Diego, San Jose, Tacoma, Tampa, and Washington.
