By booking a Platinum or Gold level reception for 200 or more guests in 2011, the newlyweds will be rewarded with a free, five-night stay at the luxurious British Colonial Hilton in the Bahamas. Situated on a private beach, it is the ideal spot for the perfect honeymoon.

All three packages include an on-site ceremony room; champagne toast; votive candles; white linens and napkins; coat room service; complimentary overnight accommodations for the bride and groom; and discounted rates for out-of-town guests.

DoubleTree by Hilton-Tarrytown 2011 Platinum Wedding Package Menu

The menu begins with a wide array of more than 20 hot and cold hors d’oeuvres from which the happy couple can choose eight to serve their guests. Cold offerings include mustard charred beef tenderloin, Maine lobster salad in a phyllo shell and jumbo shrimp. Hot selections include pecan crusted chicken tenderloin, vegetable samosas, and fresh mozzarella and risotto croquettes topped with pomodoro sauce. The cocktail hour also includes a selection of stations, including one carving station offering either turkey, ham or salmon wellington, along with accompaniments for all; and two stations from a creative and contemporary list including a fajita station, risotto station, potato bar, and wok station.

During the reception, guests are served a choice of two starters selected from a variety of soups, salads and appetizers. Soup offerings include a roasted plum and tomato bisque with a basil drizzle; a wild mushroom bisque with a parmesan twist; and a roasted butternut squash puree with toasted almond and maple butter. Salad selections include a marinated Roma tomato, soft mozzarella and arugula salad with basil oil and balsamic syrup; baby spinach with toasted pecans and red & gold tomato vinaigrette; and romaine hearts with asiago cheese, garlic croutons and creamy Caesar dressing. Appetizers include a broth of sea scallops with pears, melon and watercress; a wild mushroom crepe with truffled cognac cream; and jumbo shrimp cocktail with tomato lime relish and cocktail sauce.

After an intermezzo, guests will have a choice of three entrees. The bride and groom have 12 options including Macadamia nut crusted chicken with champagne risotto and a squash medley; Asian barbequed salmon served with a wasabi rice cake and fresh vegetable slaw; beef tenderloin and herb marinated gulf shrimp and many more, including an oven roasted tomato and spiced tofu with aromatic vegetables for vegetarian guests. All entrees are served with a chef’s choice of seasonal vegetables and rolls with sweet butter.

Desserts include a customized wedding cake, a display of cookies, chocolate covered strawberries and truffles and freshly brewed coffee and tea. The Platinum package also features five hours of open bar featuring premium liquors.

The Gold package, which costs $100 per person plus tax and gratuity, differs slightly from the  Platinum in the number of choices offered to guests and the liquor selections.

The Silver package, at $80 per person plus tax and gratuity, does not include  hot stations during the cocktail hour and also does not qualify for the free, five-day honeymoon.
