Paul Coghlin - Third Place Winner In "European Fine Art Photograph Of The Year Award 2010"

Feb. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Paul Coghlin, based in Suffolk, UK, has won Third Place in the highly competitive European Fine Art Photograph of the Year Award 2010, for his long-exposure “Sentinel” photograph, featuring a zig-zag sea defence structure in North Norfolk, UK.

The competition is run by the Federation of European Photographers (FEP) across 20 countries and received nearly 300 images from members of 23 professional associations.  The photographs were shortlisted to 15 finalists a few weeks ago.

The FEP prize is the latest in a long line of professional awards for Paul, who, an Associate member of the British Institute of Professional Photography, is also the BIPP's current "Photographer of the Year" and recently received the prestigious "Peter Grugeon Award" for his Associate submission panel, a series of 20 black and white fine art prints.

Based in Suffolk, UK, Paul Coghlin is a multi-award winning Fine Art photographer, regularly appearing in magazines & exhibitions.

In November 2010, Paul received the prestigious Photographer of the Year and Peter Grugeon Awards during the BIPP National Photographic Awards cermony at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, together with three Gold Awards and a Silver.

In the summer of 2010, he also received the “Photographer of the Year 2010″ and the “Digital Printer of the Year 2010″ awards in the international B+W Photography Magazine’s annual competition.

Paul is also a Second Prize and Honourable Mention Winner in the prestigious le Prix de la Photographie Paris (Px3) competition and gained seven Honourable Mention Awards in the New York-based International Photography Awards, in a variety of categories.

Paul is an Associate member of the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP).
