PRLog - Feb. 10, 2011 - MACCLESFIELD, U.K. -- DEVOTED dad of two Scott Bamford is not entirely joking when he refers to Cocentric, his company’s new and much acclaimed state-of-the-art corporate software solution, as his baby.

For the gifted software engineer spent countless hours tweaking and ultimately perfecting the sophisticated business software package among the toys, nappies and baby bottles in the nursery of his home in Biddulph, Staffs.

“You could say my responsibilities as a father contributed to the development of this software,” explained the 30 years old Operations Director with Triangle Software of Lower Withington, Cheshire.

Scott had volunteered to help with post-midnight feeds and changes after his wife Jade gave birth to baby son Malachi just over a year ago.

“I would get up after midnight to attend to Malachi and his older brother, three years old Reuben to give Jade a little rest,” said Scott. “And most nights I found myself working on the Cocentric Project which was nearing completion.

“It was amazing how ideas would just come to me in the middle of the night. The whole idea of Cocentric was to create highly sophisticated business software that would be suitable for all businesses whatever their activity.

“In my days designing bespoke software for companies I had developed a set of programming tools called Infolens that provided a basis on which to build software for specific corporate activities. Those tools were extremely useful in developing the final version of Cocentric.

“But it was the tweaking and the fine tuning that I was able to do between feeds and nappy changes that made all the difference. So I make no apologies for having quietly thanked my young sons Reuben and Malachi when the job was eventually completed.”

Scott and Triangle Software Managing Director Tim Thomas-Peter marked the launch of Cocentric with a visit from Macclesfield MP David Rutley who officially ‘switched on’ the software for the first time.”

Tim said: “Our whole team put in some very unsociable hours to get Cocentric up and running and I know Scott literally burned the midnight oil on this project thanks to his fatherly duties.

“But I am sure we all agree that the end result, Cocentric, has been well worth the hard work. Thanks to Cocentric, we now have a unique software solution that will work for any business, whetever its size and whatever its activity.

“And it will enable all business to do more for less.”
