Follow on Google News | Goodwill and WGCU to Hold VIP Screening of Award-Winning Documentary "For Once in My Life"The award-winning documentary "For Once in My Life" will be shown at a special VIP screening hosted by the Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation and WGCU Public Television. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP because seating is limited.
Called “Inspiring and enthralling” The film, which premiered at the 2010 South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, won the festival’s audience award. For Once in My Life also earned the 2010 best music documentary honor from the International Documentary Association, and received awards at film festivals in Nashville, Sarasota, and Sonoma, among others. Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida’s (http://www.goodwillswfl.org) “This documentary is about our sister organization, so obviously I’m biased,” she admits. “But the movie really shows that every one of us has the potential for greatness, no matter what our physical or mental limitations are.” Guests at the February 16 VIP screening will be treated to complimentary wine, hors d’oeuvres, and popcorn.
