XYIENCE Brings Mixed Martial Arts Superstar Wanderlei Silva to Ralphs Grocery Stores

Feb. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- LAS VEGAS—XYIENCE, maker of Xenergy, the official energy drink of the UFC, will host autograph signings with Brazilian mixed martial arts (MMA) icon Wanderlei Silva in two Ralphs grocery store locations.  The UFC middleweight division fighter will make appearances at the following stores: 8657 Villa La Jolla Drive in La Jolla on Friday, Feb. 11, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 25539 Paseo de Valencia in Laguna Hills on Saturday, Feb. 12, from noon to 2 p.m.  

As a result of XYIENCE’s relationship with FBC Distributors, XYIENCE’s sales team recently reached an agreement with the grocery store chain to test four new Xenergy flavors: Mango Guava, Cherry Lime, Cran Razz and Cherry Rush.  The flavors are available for a limited-time promotion of 3 cans for $5.

Silva, who has a 33-10-1 record, is a longtime ambassador for the XYIENCE brand.  One of the most internationally acclaimed MMA athletes of his time, Silva’s appearances are an attraction, drawing up to 1,000 consumers to retail outlets for events of this nature.  Silva will sign XYIENCE branded autograph cards and cans of Xenergy purchased at the event.
