Feb. 9, 2011 - New Orleans International Fashion Week: City Lights at Bourbon Park 2011 will host Fashion Week in the City of New Orleans, Louisiana February 19-26th, 2011. Fashion Week will host many socials and runway show platforms at the Contemporary Arts Center as well as a host of other venues located around New Orleans, LA. We are pleased to host famed New York Designer and Collection Luis Machicao (www.luismachicao.com)
at Fashion Week this year. Luis Machicao has presented many of his collections throughout the world and currently designed for the Perusian Government as well as designed for Christian Dior. Also, we are pleased to host a segment for New Orleans International Fashion Week with famed Artist Mr. Christopher Turner which is renowned for his LIVE contemporary art displays and visuals throughout Louisiana. Mr. Christopher Turner will operate the ranks as Director of the Arts for New Orleans International Fashion Week 2011 and will focus on uplifting local Louisiana artists and creating Art Prodigy’s. New Orleans International Fashion Week will have many models, designers, jewelers, and retailers participate in the shows at the Contemporary Arts Center. We will be also presenting a one of a kind recycled look designer that creates and showcases garments made from homely recyclable materials and her name is Ali Beasley.
