myCotorra.com selects Liga Contra el Cancer as their first recipient of its charity initiative.

MyCotorra, selects Liga Contra el Cancer as the recipient of their first monthly charitable initiative. After receiving many nominations for the charity they will receive $1 from every deal sold in the month of January.

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 8, 2011 - MyCotorra, the new Miami-based online daily deal site, selects Liga Contra el Cancer as the recipient of their first monthly charitable initiative. Each month, MyCotorra will donate a portion of its monthly sales to a different local organization. The selected charity will receive $1 for each deal sold.

“Through initiatives like this, we’re able to utilize the collective buying power of our subscribers to raise awareness and funds for local charities “, says Alice Roque, Co-founder of myCotorra.com.

Liga Contra el Cancer is a community-based, not-for-profit organization providing free medical care to needy cancer patients. Liga Contra el Cancer is the last resort for cancer victims who have no financial resources or health insurance. Since its inception in 1975, more than 50,000 low-income, uninsured patients have received world-class medical treatment, screenings and support from the Liga Contra el Cancer. More than 350 board-certified Florida physicians, volunteer their services to the Liga Contra el Cancer. Services are provided at the League's own facility, in private physician’s offices and at local hospitals.
