Mr. Gutierrez is a senior sales and marketing executive with significant experience in the solar and technology industries. Prior to joining Ampt, Rafael served as senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for Ascent Solar, a leading manufacturer of Thin Film solar modules. Before that, he held several executive-level positions with Seagate, an $11 billion computer peripherals company, with responsibility for strategic marketing, business development, M&A, engineering, and operations. Rafael was also a principal design engineer with Digital Equipment Corporation.
Rafael received his MS in Applied Statistics and Operations Research form the University of Northern Colorado and a BA in Mathematics, with honors, from Bellevue University. He also graduated from the Harvard Business School Executive Leadership Development Program.
