Alacrán was born as a project among a circle of friends in Mexico City that grew tired of the classic taste and aroma of the existing tequila. CEO Ernesto Iberra Henkel states “We are ready to share this product that we believe is of superior quality, and we are doing it in New York, the city that prides itself in the very best.”

Alacrán tequila uses a selective column distillation process, which allows the makers to choose and precisely determine the tequila they want, highlighting its pure taste and fair aroma. Mr. Henkel has partnered with Arty Dozortsov of Sant Arturo Wine, and his marketing team VIEvents to create a memorable evening of cocktails and Hors d'œuvres in New York’s most exclusive venue. Alacrán had previously made a guest appearance at the birthday party of Alicia Keys at the Casa La Femme restaurant where Mr. Dozortsev’s wine is carried.
