devolo Launches Multi-room 3D Entertainment Capability at CeBIT 2011

Feb. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Powerline networking specialist devolo will be presenting its next generation of dLAN products at CeBIT 2011; the new dLAN 500 range of devolo HomePlug products, along with the dLAN 200 AV USB extender and the dLAN TV Sat.

With a transmission rate of 500 Mbps, the dLAN 500 is able to offer enough bandwidth for all triple play services including the transmission of high-resolution 3D films into every room of the house.

devolo not only designs its products for high performance, but also for energy efficiency. Advances in Dynamic PowerSave technology have made it possible to reduce energy consumption to less than 0.5 watts in standby mode - ensuring the new dLAN 500 adapters comply with the EuP standard for 2013.

The first adapters of the dLAN 500 portfolio will be available in stores in April 2011, which will include the dLAN 500 AVmini and dLAN 500 AVplus. The dLAN 500 AVmini features extremely compact dimensions, while devolo's dLAN 500 AVplus has an integrated power outlet with mains filter, making it well suited to locations that have only a few power outlets available.

DVB-S2 via dLAN – satellite TV in HD quality
devolo is offering a smart solution for transmitting digital satellite TV in HD quality via the household electrical wiring. The DVB-S2 and Quality of Service performance features ensure that the TV signal from the satellite to the power outlet reaches the receiver in the highest quality. To make this possible, devolo has developed a dLAN tuner that is connected directly to the LNB receiver of the satellite system. Once activated, it provides satellite TV through each power outlet in the home. Reception is also possible via the dLAN TV Sat 1300-HD digital satellite.

dLAN 200 AV USB Extender
Featuring a USB port rather than an Ethernet interface, the dLAN 200 AV USB Extender enables USB devices such as printers, hard drives or webcams to be easily integrated into the dLAN home network, providing a quick and easy plug-and-play solution for home users.

dLAN Cockpit
dLAN Cockpit is the new generation dLAN management software. With its innovative network display, the programme shows the connection speed of all adapters in the dLAN. A dLAN optimisation wizard analyses the home network and provides tips on how to further improve the transfer rate. The dLAN Cockpit is also used to configure all security settings, like the adapter's security encryption.
