Largest Mass Wedding in India Book of Records

'Bharat Swabhiman' headed by Baba Ramdev organized the ‘Largest Mass Wedding’ ceremony, where MLA Ravi Kumar Rana took wedding vows with South Indian actress Navneet Kaur, along with  3100 couples from diverse communities and religions, solemnized pious rites and rituals at Science Core Ground, Amravati on February 2, 2011.
There were  700 horses, 350 tongas, 100 camels, several trucks and auto rickshaws were the part of the event. The colourful ceremony, held at the Science Core ground under a huge shamiana, was witnessed by thousands of people from Amravati and adjoining areas. Most of the couples were from lower middle class and adjoining districts and villages.
India Book of Records team witnessed the event and gave an on spot certificate the registration of   the  participants .
