Southern Writer, J.R. Hardin, Releases the Third Book in his Kudzu Monsters Series

Feb. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- "Kudzu Monsters Versus the Creeper Horde" is a story about evil spider-like creatures called creepers that migrate into forests in the Southeastern U.S. every thirty or forty years for three years at a time. These creepers could be a real problem for humans if it wasn’t for the friendly and powerful kudzu monsters that quietly protect those forests and the people who live around them. The book, by author J.R. Hardin, is an action-packed read for children from the ages of 9-14.

For readers who might not be familiar with the kudzu vines that grow so prolifically along the roadsides and in the forests of the Southeastern U.S., Hardin uses a page in the beginning of each book to provide some history and information about this hardy plant. For those who are familiar with kudzu, Hardin’s informational tidbits along with his fictional monsters will have them looking at the vine covered trees and roadside banks in a totally different way.

Author J.R. Hardin was born and raised in Rome, Georgia and has lived in the south all of his life. He currently resides in Gainesville, Georgia with his son Shane and his daughter-in-law, Maranda. J.R. spent his career as an electrical transformer designer and began writing in 2007. He published his first two books, The Kudzu Monsters and Kalvin the Kudzu Monster in the summer and fall of 2010.
