Follow on Google News | Land Rover selects AEB (International) Ltd’s COMPLIANCE||XPRESS for Denied-Party ScreeningBritish all-terrain vehicle manufacturer Land Rover has selected COMPLIANCE||XPRESS, an easy-to-use software-as-a-service solution (Saas) from AEB (International) Ltd, to guarantee the security of its shipments by screening for denied-parties.
Easily accessible via an Internet browser, COMPLIANCE||XPRESS is now being used by Land Rover sales staff worldwide, who can now quickly assess whether a business or individual appears on a denied-party list by simply entering names and address details. AEB’s cost-effective solution ensures that all partners in the business process can be checked against the key UK, EU and US denied-party lists such as the Denied Persons List and the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons list of the Office of Foreign Asset Controls. Compliance administrators are automatically notified by e-mail of any potential matches with denied-parties on any of the lists. COMPLIANCE||XPRESS provides an easy way for companies to handle the challenges posed by anti-terrorism legislation governing foreign trade. Due to the increased emphasis on security in the supply chain, companies need to be responsible for their own compliance with these rules and restrictions. Government agencies around the world have published lists of individuals, companies and organisations they believe to be engaged in terrorist activities. Some of these lists run to hundreds of pages, making paper-based checks a very time-consuming and error-prone process. Although the software is extremely easy to use, there are many complex processes taking place in the background to ensure the lists are checked thoroughly and accurately. The system employs fuzzy logic algorithms, phonetic agents (which enable recognition of similar-sounding words such as Stephenson and Stevenson), letter case analysers (comparing lower case and upper case words) and abbreviation profilers to ensure that nothing slips through the net. With over 60 years experience, Land Rover provides armed forces around the globe with light 4x4 vehicles designed to meet a wide range of defence and peacekeeping roles. Land Rover Defence Vehicles have seen service with forces around the world.
