Feb. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Aerosim Flight Academy is exhibiting at APATS (Asian Pacific Airline Training Symposium) March 8-10, in Hong Kong.  The APATS Ab Initio and Evidence Based Training conference will take place alongside Asian Aerospace this year. As one of the few flight schools selected in the United States to educate and train Chinese students to become pilots, Aerosim Flight Academy has signed contracts with Shandong Airlines, Shun Feng Airlines and CAFUC (Civil Aviation Flight University of China). In January, Aerosim Flight Academy also hosted Captain Jeff Chen, Manager, as well as Captain Bright Lee, B744 Training Chief, both of the Flight Training and Flight Operations Division with China Airlines. The academy is also hosting Shandong Airlines and Shenyang Aviation University this month.

The exhibit includes topics of great interest to the rapidly developing airline industry in the Peoples Republic of China. Mark Sawyer, Vice President Sales and Marketing at Aerosim, will be presenting at APATS. His seminar will address Aerosim Flight Academy’s role with Asian airlines and universities to develop and train candidates for first officer positions throughout Asia. According to Sawyer, “ As the need for pilots increase throughout all of Asia, the Asian carriers have looked towards America and its’ quality flight schools for pilot training. At Aerosim we realize the need for not only quality training but also providing a safe and culturally enriching experience for our Asian students. In my discussion at APATS I will be addressing the complex challenges of delivering these expectations to our students and look for comments from our partners in Asia”.

Students from CAFUC, Shandong Airlines and Shun Feng Airlines train at Aerosim Flight Academy for eleven months and then return to China to fly large commercial aircraft such as the B737 and A320.These international airlines and universities continue to contract Aerosim Flight Academy because it has the reputation and proven track record for training new pilots for airline operations in China. With the United States having a predominantly open airspace, it provides a great opportunity for flight training. By living in the United States, the English language immersion with the flight academy’s courses are critical to the total success of the programs as it is the mandatory language of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

“We are excited to continue to train international students,” said Paul Woessner, Senior Vice President of Aerosim Flight Academy. “We work hard to help the students achieve excellence in pilot training and safety as well as provide a positive life experience for them while they train with us.”
