Brazilian Government recommends IFPUG Function Points

DCG experts comment on the Brazilian Government's commitment to the use of IFPUG Function Points as a Best Practice.

Feb. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- At the September 2010 International Software Measurement Analysis (ISMA) Conference held in San Paolo, Brazil, and hosted by IFPUG, (International Function Point Users Group), David Consulting Group awarded Linda Ye of the BMO Financial Group in Toronto, Canada the DCG Innovation Works Award for an outstanding contribution to the field of functional measurement.

DCG Industry domain experts and analysts have been tracking the growing use of function points in Brazil, one of the fastest growing economies in the Western Hemisphere.

“It comes as no surprise that the Brazilian Government has committed to Function Points,” comments Tom Cagley, Current Past President of the International Function Point Users Group.  “Their desire to aggressively compete with other mature industrial economies really underscores this decision.”
