ORC Launches New User Friendly Website

Feb. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Ontario Racquet Club (ORC) has launched a new interactive and member focused website that presents a comprehensive picture of the extensive facilities and range of programs on offer at the Mississauga health, wellness and sports club.  The website features an interactive calendar, up to the minute information feeds, a club survey and other opportunities for feedback, an “Ask the Pro” section, photo galleries and more.  It also provides a platform for members to opt into further information on different aspects of the club and club life (e.g. Tennis, Squash and Fitness).  

ORC General Manager, Jeff McCarrol is enthusiastic about the launch: “This has been a much needed upgrade to our website.  It was important to us to create a site that doesn’t just look good on a visual level, but also provides a genuine (and user-friendly) service to our members and stakeholders.  Our website features many opportunities for customer interaction and allows them to experience the club in a different way.  We’re excited about the long-term impact of our communications efforts.”  

90% of the photographs used on the site are original shots of ORC’s own members and staff—the management team prioritized the accurate portrayal of the lifestyle represented by the club and instructor and staff teams.  

In reality, the website represents only a portion of ORC’s efforts to improve its communication to members and other stakeholders.  It is part of a large scale marketing and communications program that that been expanded to include the use of social media, effective use of internal communications channels, as well as distribution and promotion of opt-in RSS feeds as a means to improve communication.

Work on the site is ongoing.  There are more features to come, including an OR TV section that will give video tips on Tennis, Squash and fitness.

Ontario Racquet Club worked with Toronto based developers Addrenaline Media to take the site from conceptualization to its now live user friendly and highly visual manifestation.   Addrenaline President, Kyle Hosick had this to say about working with ORC to create the website:

Ongoing maintenance and management of the site is facilitated by the integration of a user friendly content management system—ensuring that accessible information will stay relevant and current.
