Joan C. King, Ph.D., Neuroscientist, Author, International Speaker, Master Certified Coach and Executive Coach has one passion - to evoke greatness!  Growing up in New Orleans, Joan entered the Dominican convent at the tender age of 17 to grasp the essence of life. Eleven years later she left knowing that if she stayed she would dry up and die inside.  Turning to science Joan obtained a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Physiological Psychology and joined the faculty at Tufts University Schools of Medicine Steadily advancing through the academic ranks Joan served as Chair of the Department of Anatomy and Cellular Biology and Director of a Center of Research for the 3 campuses of Tufts, Boston, Medford and Grafton. Once again Joan knew that if she stayed in academia she would dry up and die inside. A sabbatical provided the opportunity for her ask "Who am I, really, when you take away all the roles, all the titles?" Her exploration led her to found her coaching business Beyond Success LLC and develop the concept of "Cellular Wisdom"  (the preverbal wisdom carried by the energy infusing life into each one of our trillion cells, moment by moment) and begin writing her Cellular Wisdom series of books.  In Cellular Wisdom for Women AN INNER WORK BOOK 2008;  The Code of Authentic Living CELLULAR WISDOM, 2009 and her upcoming book A Life on Purpose: WISDOM AT WORK, 2011 WordKeepers Inc. Joan explores our bodies as teachers of how we can live exuberantly, individually and in relationships from intimate to corporate. Joan has also published "Discover your Inner Strengths" "Success Simplified" and "Courageous and Inspiring Stories" with Insight Publishing.  Joan’s coaching philosophy is that life emerges from an individual’s core beliefs and the focus of their thinking. She integrates her analytical skills honed by her scientific training and practice with her coaching expertise to help people simultaneously achieve success and go beyond success to self-actualization as leaders and entrepreneurs. She does this by helping clients recognize and uncover their strengths, unfold aspects of their authentic self, unmask limiting core beliefs and recast them as actualizing principles.
