The general idea of traditional farmhouse kitchens is that they are only suited to larger rooms but this is no longer the case, the farmhouse, cosy kitchen feel can be achieved even in smaller rooms. Traditional kitchens are places where real design statements can be made and traditional natural floor can be dressed up with cottage style rugs. Lighting is another area where you can add different mood tones and smaller spot lights can be added to the units to add different mood changes. Traditional cottage style furniture can be added with a central cottage style table in the centre of the room.
