Patrick 'Bud' O'Hagan of Terrie O'Connor Realtors Volunteers His Service to "Meals-on-Wheels"

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 3, 2011 - Patrick “Bud” O’Hagan of Terrie O’Connor Realtors, Allendale Group, recently volunteered his time helping those who are unable to shop or cook for themselves due to age or disability.  Bud, also a Midland Park Councilman, recently made deliveries for Community Meals Inc (CMI), a non-profit meals-on-wheels service. O’Hagan actually shoveled his way to client’s front steps to make sure homebound residents would be able to receive their meals.  “I find it very rewarding when I can help people in need,” said Bud.  “Seeing smiling faces as I arrive with their meals gives me a real sense of purpose.”

    Since 1971, CMI has been delivering meals weekdays to homebound residents in Allendale, Glen Rock, Ho-Ho-Kus, Midland Park, Ridgewood, and Waldwick, NJ.  Meals are prepared by The Valley Hospital and delivered to the Christ Church’s kitchen.  Volunteers package the meals and transfer them to coolers.  Volunteer drivers, assigned specific routes, deliver these meals.  Anyone interested in volunteering their time may call the Community Meals office at (201) 447-8295.  Also anyone interested in contacting Bud for their real estate needs can contact him at (201) 825-0500 ext. 39, his cell at (201) 396-1691 or e-mail him at bud@tocr.com.
