Feb. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Scottsbluff, NE - True to its tagline of making history on the Oregon Trail come alive, the Barn Anew Bed and Breakfast continues its tradition of giving guests something new from what is actually old and exquisite.  This winter the inn has added another item to its Western and Native American art collection; an Arapaho ladies “jingle” dress.  Innkeepers Cher and Allan Maybee report that the dress is decorated with tobacco chew lids all rolled into small bells. The Arapaho dress was traditionally worn in Native American jingle dances.

The Pony Express Room now boasts a set of buffalo hide chaps which date back to the late 19th century while in the Fur Trapper Room there is a fiddle that originates from the pre-Civil War era. The inn has just completed the construction of two sheep wagons, as well. These are available for occupancy.

While all these new additions add interest for Barn Anew Bed and Breakfast guests, the Native American artwork that made the inn famous are still on display. These pieces were collected by the Maybee couple while they were teaching in public school near the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming.
