The day consists of a series of three workshops that focuses on relevant topics to education including grant writing strategies, budget constraints, and student needs. Featured guest speakers for the event include seasoned professionals from various school districts throughout Riverside County, a representative from non-profit Riverside Community Hospital, and an experienced author.
“This series of workshops about how teachers can garner support for curriculum and classroom materials is very timely given the current nature of school budgets,” said Dr. Lynn Larson, Faculty at Brandman University’s Moreno Valley campus. “Having those who have been successful receiving grant support for various programs share their knowledge and expertise with the local community is an amazing opportunity.”
Featured Guest Speakers:
Christina Cabrera, Riverside Community Hospital
Rachel Dow, Perris School District
Jay Hoffman, Superintendent, retired
Sharon Nakama, Riverside Unified School District
Neil Price, Redlands Unified School District
Linda Wright, Author
