InfoRelay Expands its Network to New York City Location

Feb. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- InfoRelay Online Systems, Inc., a leading IT solutions and connectivity provider, announced today that it will be expanding to a new data center location in New York City.

The new location, referred to as LGA1, is located at 60 Hudson Street, a historic landmark in Lower Manhattan. The building is widely recognized as one of the most well connected carrier neutral data centers in the Northeast. Formerly known as the Western Union building, it boasts a rich history in connectivity as it was originally used as a hub for telegraph communications. LGA1 will serve as a prime disaster recovery site for current InfoRelay clients in the Delmarva, D.C., and lower Pennsylvania region.

The move was largely spurred by continued growth in financial and healthcare markets within the Washington, DC and Northern Virginia area.  Several key InfoRelay clients had expressed a major interest in obtaining a New York presence with InfoRelay as part of an overall Disaster Recovery Plan, and in some cases, for lowered network latency to the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut Tri-State area.  Russell Weiss, President of InfoRelay, stated, "We've seen strong client demand for New York for some time -- we're glad to be able to meet the expansion needs of our clients by providing them with a fully redundant bandwidth blend powered by multiple network providers."  InfoRelay will offer server colocation options ranging from one rack unit to multiple cabinet and cage options.  InfoRelay also plans to extend public and private cloud offerings and dedicated server options into the New York City market.
