Cabinet Minister in Rajasthan Government for Water Resources, Indira Gandhi Canal Project, Public Health and Engineering, Ground Water and Command Area Development Hon’ble Shri Mahipal Maderna visited Shridhar University Pilani on January 16, 2011. The minister on his arrival at the university had a traditional Rajasthani welcome with tilak garland and turban.
Prof BR Natarajan Pro Vice Chancellor unfolded the Shridhar University dream mission with passion to the minister and informed him that it was indeed a matter of pride that the new institution right in its very first year has attracted students not only from Rajasthan but also from various states of India which include Assam, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra and Uttarakhand.
Minister in his address to the faculty of the university complimented the management for putting up at a rapid pace the Shridhar University with state of the art infrastructure in a rural place like Pilani. He urged the faculty to focus on curriculum with emphasis on water resources and conservation measures.
On behalf of the University, Vice Chancellor Lt Gen (Retd) Dr Mahesh Vij PVSM AVSM gave a special memento to the honorable minister. Prof Natarajan in his vote of thanks made a special mention of Dr Brij Mohan Mishra Chairman of JMA School at Pilani for facilitating the minister visit.
