The Alliance for Digital Equality to Donate Computers to Three Dallas, TX Elementary Schools

Feb. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- The Alliance for Digital Equality (ADE) will be making an extraordinary donation on Thursday February 3rd of 60 laptop computers to benefit Charles Rice Elementary School in South Dallas (receiving 20 computers),  John N. Bryan Elementary School in Oak Cliff (receiving 20 computers) and John Q. Adams Elementary in Pleasant Grove (receiving 20 computers). ADE is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that seeks to bridge the technology divide between underserved ethnic and minority communities within the United States and the technology advanced marketplace. UPS provides free shipping for transportation of all ADE donations.

Making the donation will be ADE Chairman Julius Hollis and nationally syndicated radio personality, “The Fly Jock” Tom Joyner. Invited guests include Dallas Mayor Thomas Leppert, DISD Superintendent Dr. Michael Hinojosa, Shirley Ison-Newsome, Senior Executive Director, Southeast Elementary Learning Community, School Board Members Nancy Bingham, Lew Blackburn, Ph.D., Bernadette Nutall; City Council  Members Carolyn Davis, David A. Neumann, Vonciel Jones Hill, other elected officials, local business leaders and the media.
