New Anthem For Premier League Newcomers Blackpool F.C.

Jan. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Inspired by the continuing success of Barclays Premier League new boys, Blackpool F.C, a new anthem has been written & released which could become the official Blackpool club anthem.

Written and performed by Blackpool-based Daniel Fard & Glen Kirkham, it is hoped the anthem 'Blackpool Dream', will become a memorable souvenir of an unforgettable season for Blackpool, who have competed well during the 2010/11 season, notably beating Liverpool at home & away.

Speaking about the release of the anthem, Daniel Fard co-writer and producer of the anthem said "It's a fantastic honour to be able to write a song which will hopefully become synonymous with Blackpool F.C. for generations to come. There's no better feeling than 15,000 people singing a song you've written, whilst giving what you can back to the club & community that have given you so much".

Daniel also remarked, "The 'Blackpool Dream' was written to be a beacon of hope for football across the world, bringing it back to it's roots, at a time when the world's richest league is embroiled in controversy, media sensationalism and huge wage packets."

Blackpool, who were tipped by for relegation in the Championship, saw their fortunes change dramatically as they beat Cardiff in the Play-Off Finals at Wembley, and have performed admirably in their first 23 games of the season, currently situated 12th in the league.

The song is performed by Glen Kirkham, an up-and-coming song-writer, guitarist & singer. As a life-long Blackpool fan, he described what it meant to be involved in the production of a Blackpool F.C Anthem, "The club & Ian Holloway have been a huge inspiration to almost everyone in the town, and this was our way of saying 'thanks' for such an amazing journey."

Current speculation concerning Blackpool's star skipper Charlie Adam continues, as a number of clubs endeavour to prise the player from the club, however the song-writing duo remain focused in their task to ensure the players are supported by the fans.
