Amigos Sin Barreras/Friends Without Barriers (Amigos), Redondo Beach, California unites with A Better Community For All (ABC4All), Manhattan Beach, California to support the launch of the Forever Campaign for  Global Humanitarian Relief via the April 27, 2011 ABC4All/Jazz For Peace Concert in Los Angeles, California.

In January 2006, ABC4All Global Mentoring TEAM Project was created via a youth-driven website, Taking IT Global.  To date, nearly 850 ABC4All Mentors have joined from 109 countries.  Thirteen countries have started Local ABC4All efforts.  One ABC4All Mentor from Tarzana, California, Arlan Berglas, Director of Global Development, World Peace One, introduced Jazz for Peace and ABC4All, leading to a uniting of activity to support Global Humanitarian Relief (GHR).

Subsequently Amigos and ABC4All have pooled resources to maximize efforts to fundraise to benefit ongoing Amigos programs as well as realize a dream to create an Amigos Hospice and to support ABC4All's focus on bringing relief to the world for anyone alive who is receptive.

According to Burton Danet, Ph.D., Co-Founder of ABC4All, "Amigos' Founder has been called the equivalent of 'Mother Teresa of Redondo Beach.'  Her mission to create a hospice aimed at preventing people from dying alone during morning rounds deserves maximum support."  Amigos, along with ABC4All, is making available discounted VIP tickets to the event. ABOUT AMIGOS SIN BARRERAS/FRIENDS WITHOUT BARRIERS

Amigos is a nonprofit organization currently operating two programs in the South Bay of Greater Los Angeles.  Its first program initiated in July 1994 to provide outreach and education, information, referral, and a 24-hour hotline.  Amigos received nonprofit status in July 1995.  In March 1996, Amigos opened its drop-in center named “Circle of Friends.”  It collaborates with South Bay Family Healthcare Center, Harbor/UCLA Medical Center and South Bay AIDS Network to provide myriad services complementing these agencies.
