A new musical group and recently opened restaurants find success in an otherwise lackluster economy. Great music along with good food and sports seem to be a winning combination.

Jan. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- New Brunswick, NJ - Jan. 30  -  A new musical duet is a hit on the New Brunswick night life scene. The pair, a musical team formed only a few months ago, featuring Anthony Xerri, of Freehold and Madison Brown of West Orange, packed the newly opened George Street Ale House last night to a capacity crowd. At times, eager customers had to wait at the front door of the sports bar/restaurant until other patrons exited in order to get in. "There's no sign of a sluggish economy when Splash is performing" said Matt Connors, a patron and local area resident.

Xerri and Brown are an acoustic duo and perform a wide range of covers, including The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, as well as Motown, Blues and more current Rock. They also play a variety of original music.

A talented singer-songwriter, Xerri, with his throwback appearance exudes memories of Jim Croce and Frank Zappa.

Brown, a lovely, petite young lady, stuns the audience with her powerful vocals.

The name of the duet was aptly derived from the movie with Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah
in which Hannah played a mermaid named Madison.

In addition to performing at local area restaurants and other venues, Splash performs for private parties and can be contacted at www.facebook.com/splashduet.
