Follow on Google News | AMP Pays Ohio Businesses for Upgrading LightingAmerican Municipal Power pays businesses in Ohio rebate incentives for performing a lighting retrofit project, reducing their lighting energy use for their plant, warehouse or office lighting.
By: Bob Taussig, President ROI Energy Solutions Today’s new energy efficient T5 and T8 fixtures replace older HID (high pressure sodium and metal halide) high bay and low bay fixtures found in factories, warehouses, distribution centers and industrial manufacturing facilities. These new fixtures use half the energy and when compared to the depreciated HID fixtures they replace, improve light levels dramatically. Businesses are eligible to obtain prescriptive and custom rebate incentive dollars for committing to convert their plant hi-bay fixtures, as well as their old office troffer T12 lamps and magnetic ballasts with energy efficient T-8 lamps and electronic ballasts. “We recently converted a Hoover distribution facility cutting their energy use by over 50% and more than doubled their light levels. This is extremely typical” explains Taussig, a lighting energy savings expert and president of ROI Energy of Ohio. The following cities are part of AMP’s Ohio power grid and are in close proximity to where ROI Energy promotes “Turn-Key” “We provide turnkey lighting retrofit projects, helping our customers reduce their energy costs and improve their lighting. Our specialty is converting manufacturing and warehouse HID metal halide high bay lighting to T-5 and T-8 energy efficient, linear fluorescent hi-bay fixtures. We find that businesses who run multiple shifts and have facilities larger than 40,000 square feet realize the fastest payback, since replacing high bay and low bay fixtures is the quickest and easiest way to reduce energy costs by up to 70%. In addition we certify customers for an IRS accelerated EPAct tax deduction and handle all the complicated paperwork required to garner the various utility company rebates for business owners” explains Taussig. “When owners and managers realize they can get better lighting, save energy, take advantage of a significant IRS tax deduction and get a portion of their project paid by their utility company, it just makes good business sense to take advantage of the opportunity to improve their bottom line” # # # ROI Energy promotes energy savings by performing lighting retrofit projects for warehouses and manufacturers.
