Jan. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- DALLAS - Award-winning book author and editor Susan Mary Malone of Malone Editorial Services (http://www.maloneeditorial.com), today announced the release of “Swiss Chocolate” by author James Weil.  Malone Editorial Services developmentally edited Weil’s manuscript, which has been published by Dailey Swan Publishing.  The book is a fictionalized memoir of the writer’s boyhood days in a Swiss boarding school.

“I wrote Swiss Chocolate off the top of my head for nine months solid out of utter despair,” says Weil.  “Out of it came 600 pages of pain and anguish, but underneath all of that outpouring of emotion was truly a great story.  Susan Malone gave me a brilliant critique, honed the essential aspects of the story and helped me flush out the characters. She is a truly gifted editor, and now my book has been published.”

Malone considers herself more than just a proofreader or grammar editor. “I call myself a developmental editor because I dive right into character and story development, which are areas that usually need work with a brand new writer,” says Malone. She is thrilled about the release of Weil’s first book, which she says is an amazing accomplishment and milestone for a new author.

“Susan provided tremendous encouragement and wonderful critiques as I painfully worked through the rewrites,” says Weil.  “She taught me some of the most essential skills about good story telling. Her help has made a permanent impact on my writing.”

Malone's professional background includes working as an editor, columnist and reporter for newspapers and magazines. She is the author of By the Book , BodySculpting: The Weisbeck Way, Fourth and Long and Five Keys to Understanding Men.
