EffectiveBrands Promotes Orton to Managing Director in New York

NYC Location of Fast-Growing Consultancy Adds Bennett as Director

Jan. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- NEW YORK – January 28, 2011 – EffectiveBrands (www.effectivebrands.com), the only consultancy specifically focused on unleashing global marketing potential, today announced two appointments resulting from the rapid growth of the company’s New York City office. Kimberly Orton becomes Managing Director of the New York office and Anthony Bennett joins as director. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Ms. Orton, who joined EffectiveBrands as director in June 2009 and was promoted to partner in 2010, has two decades of experience in developing brand strategy and positioning, nomenclature and design, as well as building brand architecture. In her two years with the firm, she has assumed oversight of key global and US-based clients such as SONY, Sara Lee and GSK, and she has also been involved in new business efforts. As Managing Director in New York, she will be responsible for managing operations as well as continuing to oversee key client engagements. She reports to Stef Gans, the Global CEO of EffectiveBrands. “Kimberly’s enthusiasm for increasing the effectiveness of global brands, as well as her leadership strengths and passion for serving clients have all been tremendous assets to our company,” said Gans. “We are pleased to recognize her and look forward to another great year.”

EffectiveBrands has also hired Anthony Bennett as director in the New York office, reporting to Orton. Bennett is an expert in the areas of global brand development and implementation, market segmentation and stakeholder engagement. He has worked across numerous industries, from healthcare to financial services, from packaged goods to travel and tourism. “Anthony’s passion is to solve complex global marketing problems with lots of moving parts,” comments Orton. “He clearly recognizes that effective global marketing strategy is not just about getting the strategy and numbers right - it’s about bringing people on board, and dealing with the realities of the local markets.”

Before joining EffectiveBrands, Anthony was a founder of RedSky Insights, a boutique international branding consultancy; prior to RedSky, he was a Case Team Leader at Monitor Company, a management consultancy, in New York and Amsterdam. Bennett has extensive brand communication experience having worked as account planning director at Ogilvy & Mather in New York and Leo Burnett South Africa.
