Have you ever spotted someone you liked the look of but been too shy to say hello? In Going Nowhere on a Train, Jude and Kate are in exactly that position. Jude, on his way out for a night of clubbing, takes one look at Kate and falls totally in love.

The two don’t speak, and go off to their various destinations. A disastrous night of partying, with far too much booze pushes Jude into writing a drunken email to a local radio DJ asking him to “get that girl from the train” to contact him.
Meanwhile, Kate is beginning to realise that her boyfriend may not be as nice as she thought.

This is a very English story, the language and the club scene will transport you straight to the UK. It is well-written, full of fun, and really gives a great insight into how the mind of an average twenty something Englishman works. Definitely worth an afternoon’s read!
