PRLog - Jan. 27, 2011 - SALT LAKE CITY -- SALT LAKE CITY - Advances in technology have allowed companies like Fuel Managers to revolutionize the business jet charter industry. For decades business jet charter travel has followed the same pattern. Pilots plan a flight, call or research different FBOs for best fuel prices, file a fuel release, then conduct the flight.

Fuel Managers is playing a major role in advancing the way people and businesses travel. Established two years ago Fuel Managers is taking a stance as a trend setter and making waves in the industry.
“Fuel Managers does what a customer would do themselves to properly manage fuel given they had the time and resources that we have,” said Scott Roberts Director of Fuel Sales at Fuel Managers. “We can be a great resource and a major time saver for flight schedulers or for pilots.”
Essentially Fuel Managers works like a brokerage firm for clients that buy any amount of aircraft fuel. Fuel Managers buys a large amount of fuel everyday enabling them to qualify for quantity discounts. Fuel Managers then passes that discount on fuel on to their customers. “This is such a big new idea because there are many different ways to save money on fuel but no one offers to do the work for you and at virtually no cost,” says Roberts. “Fuel Managers is able to take advantage of the resources we have created to do both. We quickly find unbeatable fuel prices for the customer and charge them absolutely nothing. This is something that has never been done in the jet charter industry.”
With such a new idea now in the marketplace there is destined to be heavy competition in the near future. At this moment Fuel Managers doesn’t seem to be feeling competition coming from any direction.
“We have a competitive advantage being a young company,” said Roberts. “We stay on top of the trends in mobile computing because most our clients do the same. Being a mobile company increases business productivity, and saves time and money.”
Getting businesses to understand and accept change may be Fuel Managers toughest challenge. Because they are the first company into this market now is an opportune time for Fuel Managers to nestle into the marketplace before it flooded by copycat competition.
“In five years from now I see Fuel Managers much the same, just with more clientele and larger fuel savings,” says Roberts. “In our first year we saved our clients, as a whole, over one hundred thousand dollars. We are looking to double that in 2011 and by year five we want to save our clients and future clients over a million dollars in fuel costs.”
