Follow on Google News | Show your dog some love this ValentinesWood Green Animal Shelters is inviting dog owners to attend a community dog care roadshow in Cambourne in February.
By: Tara Dundon The animal welfare charity, which rehomed more than 6,300 animals last year, will hold the event at The Vines Primary School, Upper Cambourne, Cambourne, on February 11. Staff from the Shelters will be on hand to offer microchipping for £5 which means a dog will be permanently identified should he get lost or stolen. For a further £5 dogs can also be given 6 months of flea treatment Each dog can be given a free weight check, food samples, goody bags and advice throughout the session. Outreach officer Hayley Hurley said: “The aim of this community roadshow is to microchip as many dogs in the local area as possible to ensure they are permanently identified. This will help to decrease the number of stray dogs brought into Wood Green that cannot be traced back to their owners.” For further information and to book an appointment, call Carol Shepherd on 01954 719630 between 3.30pm and 5.30pm.
